Scouts

Scouts are the third section of our Scout Group.

They are young people aged 10½ – 14 years old. Our Troop meets on a Friday night from 7.00pm until 9.00pm at our Scout Headquarters.

Our aim with Scouts is to build and develop the young people’s confidence, sense of adventure and outdoor skills, as well as encouraging them to explore their beliefs and attitudes and be creative. They are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities as part of their programme including traditional Scouting skills like camping, survival and cooking, as well as a wider spectrum of adventurous activities.

Scout Promise
On my honour
I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God
And to the Queen
To help other people
And to keep the Scout Law

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
